Town centre road closed after collision
A BUSY town centre road was closed for an hour today after a car and a pedestrian were in collision.
Police were called to Wellgate at 2.20pm and the pedestrian, a woman in her early 20s, was taken to Rotherham General Hospital, but the extent of her injuries is not yet known.
The road was reopened at about 3.25pm.
