This now brings the total number of people in custody to four, after police were granted an extension to further question a 17-year-old youth who was arrested on Tuesday evening on suspicion of murder.

Laura (17), mum to a four-month-old daughter, was reported missing from her home in Holmes last Saturday.

Her family has this afternoon released the following statement: “As a family, we are devastated by the loss of our daughter and sister and are struggling to come to terms.

“Laura was a fun and feisty young woman who was loved by all and had so much to live for. She doted on her daughter Alesha and had recently enrolled on a college course that she was hoping would bring her an exciting future.”
