Teens sought after gunshot incident

There were shots fired in the Frederick Street area last Wednesday evening.

A police spokesman said: “As part of their enquiries, officers want to speak to a group of teenage boys who were walking in the area at the time. 

“The teenage boys are described as being slim and between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins tall. They were reportedly wearing dark clothing and hooded tops.”

Three men aged 24, 26 and 27 were arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.

A separate report of shots being fired through the window of a property in Victoria Road, Mexborough, remains under investigation by police.

The spokesman said: “At this time it is not clear whether the incidents are linked.”
