Teenager in hospital after Thurcroft smash

A TEENAGE motorist suffered serious injuries after her car went off the road and overturned at a bend in Thurcroft.

The 19-year-old, from Bramley, was taken to Rotherham General Hospital after the incident on Green Arbour Road on Tuesday evening.

Her passenger in the grey Vauxhall Tigra, an 18-year-old Sunnyside woman, suffered slight injuries including whiplash and neck pains.

She was also taken to hospital but later released.

The car was heading towards Thurcroft from Laughton Common and the incident, at about 7.10pm, happened close to the junction with Hawk Hill Lane.

It spun 180 degrees and rolled down a bank before ending up in a field.
