Teen in "serious" condition after being found with head injuries

The 19-year-old man was discovered on Brecklands, just off Stag Roundabout, at about 6.45am.

He was taken to hospital and was described as being in a “serious but stable” condition.

Detectives believe the man may have walked up Wickersley Road towards the roundabout, possibly with a group of up to six other men.

Det Sgt John Dimberline said: “The area where this incident happened is a very busy part of town at that time of the morning and I would like to ask that anyone who saw a group of people, believed to be men, walking towards the roundabout, or who saw what happened, to contact us. 

“A scene has been identified at the location as we begin to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident and I’d ask that anyone with information comes forward.”
