MOTORISTS have been reminded not to leave belongings on display after a spate of vehicle break-ins across Rotherham

There were six break-ins in Eastwood and East Dene in the past week with stereos, CDs and mobile phones taken.

Power tools, sat navs and fishing equipment was stolen in Wath and three more incidents were reported in Dinnington.

Crime reduction officer Pc Andy Robinson said: “I urge motorists who own portable sat nav systems to remove them from their vehicle every time they leave it unattended.

“The same applies in the home. Always remove valuable items out of view of windows and doors.”
