Stove blamed for caravan blaze

A CARAVAN was damaged in a blaze on land at Laughton Common on Wednesday night.

Firefighters from Aston station spent two hours controlling the fire which started at around 7.30pm on private land.

No one was injured and there was mainly smoke damage caused to the caravan.

“Fire crews were called out after smoke was seen coming from the caravan,” said a fire service spokeswoman.

“The fire is believed to have started by a stove inside the caravan.”
