Stabbing witnesses appeal

POLICE have appealed for information after a 23-year-old man was stabbed in Maltby.

He was treated in hospital for serious injuries after the incident on Dunns Dale at 1.30pm last Wednesday (15).

Matthew Liversidge (26), of Park View in Maltby, was charged with GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was bailed by magistrates in Rotherham on Tuesday (21) to appear at Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.

Officers have asked for anyone who saw what happened or had been in the area to get in touch.
