Shop owner terrorised by masked robbers

DETECTIVES are hunting two armed masked men who robbed a store in Kilnhurst last Saturday.

Police believe at least two masked men wearing dark clothing, entered the Victoria Mini Mart armed with a weapon, threatened the shop owner and stole the lottery till with a quantity of cash.

They escaped in a stolen blue Vauxhall Astra estate car, registration number M35 VYG.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident at 7.30pm on Saturday in Victoria Street, Kilnhurst.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1160 of September 22.
