Rotherham Sex Attacks

Nicholas Totty (25) appeared before Magistrates in Rotherham on Wednesday charged with eight offences following the two incidents in the Moorgate area on Friday night.

Totty, of Newman Road, off Moorgate, will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on October 16 charged with four rape offences, including three against the same victim.

He also faces one count of section 18 wounding with intent, one count of section 20 wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, one count of section 39 common assault and one count of committing grievous bodily harm.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of raping a 13-year-old girl on Herringthorpe Playing Fields just before midnight last Thursday has been bailed pending further inquiries.
