Rotherham man on rape charge

A MAN has appeared at court accused of raping a 16-year-old girl.

Radu Rostas, of St Ann’s Road, Rotherham is charged with attacking the teenager in Wybourn, Sheffield, early on Sunday morning.

Rostas (30) was remanded in custody until November 5, when he will appear at Sheffield Crown Court.

Police are still appealing for witnesses who were in the Park Square area of Sheffield between 5.30am and 6.30am on Sunday to call 101 quoting incident number 273 of October 20 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
