Police use taser to arrest man as flat trashed

SHOCKED neighbours heard violent scenes unfolding as a man trashed his own flat before being restrained by police using a tase

The 30-year-old was detained after a 30-minute stand-off with officers at Lapwater Walk, Rockingham on Saturday morning.

He made threatening remarks to the officers after they were called to the secured block of flats at about 11am.

He was arrested for causing criminal damage, affray and assaulting a police officer.
