Police probe attack which left victim with fractured cheekbone

POLICE investigating a serious assault on a man in Rotherham town centre have released CCTV pictures of the suspects.

A 22-year-old man from Conisbrough was punched and kicked after a disagreement with a group of four men.

He was taken to Rotherham Hospital after the assault suffering from fractured cheekbone and needed an operation for facial injuries after the attack which took place at the bottom of Ship Hill at the side of Hedonism nightclub at around 1am on Friday, December 21.

The man’s brother is also believed to have been punched in the face.

Police have since arrested a 20-year-old man and a 22-year-old man in connection with the incident, but would like to trace two other men who reportedly left the scene.

One is described as white with short, dark brown or black hair and of medium build.

He is believed to have been wearing a dark top with blue jeans. The second is described as white, with very short light blond hair, of stocky build. He is believed to have been wearing a dark top with blue jeans.
