Police name man wanted in sex assault case

POLICE have named a man they are hunting in connection with a serious sexual assault.

Officers are appealing for help from the public as they attempt to track down 28-year-old Jamie Clarke, from Rotherham, who is wanted following the attack in Wath on Monday (14).

Efforts to locate Clarke have been ongoing since the incident at a property in the village at around 6.20pm.

Det Insp Delphine Waring said: “Officers believe this was an isolated incident, however have increased patrols in the area.

“We would like to appeal directly to Jamie Clarke to come forward to assist with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 924 of October 14.
