Police issue CCTV of armed robbery

A man armed with a black handgun threatened staff at Coral in Garden Street, Darfield.

He escaped with about £700 cash after the robbery last Monday evening.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the offender in the CCTV image.”

The suspect is described as 5ft 10ins and of a slender build. He was wearing a fluorescent orange high visibility vest with a black jacket underneath, black gloves and beige combat trousers with black patches between the knee and ankle. 

He was also wearing a woolly hat and a black scarf to cover his face.
