Police investigate after “unexplained death” of man in Eastwood

POLICE are investigating the “unexplained death” of a man in Eastwood after concerns were raised for his welfare earlier this week.

Emergency services were called at around 8am on Monday to an address in Eastwood, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances which led to his death. 

“At this stage, we are treating it as unexplained, while we await the results of the post mortem.

“Anybody who may have information can call 101 quoting incident number 124 of January 9.”
