Police appeal for information after 70-year-old woman dies of head injury

Frances Lee was found dead at an address on Norbreck Road, Warmsworth, on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the property during the early hours of the morning and a 66-year-old man was arrested in connection with her death.

He has now been released on bail and continues to assist police with inquiries.

A post-mortem concluded that Mrs Lee died of a head injury.

A police spokesman said: “Investigating officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.

“We are appealing for witnesses, or for anyone with information, to call South Yorkshire Police immediately on 101.
