Plea for witnesses over danger driver

A WHITE van man was arrested for dangerous driving after his erratic road manner was spotted by police

Officers followed a transit-style Mercedes along Broom Road towards Clifton Lane as oncoming traffic had to swerve to miss the 34-year-old’s vehicle.

The man was also arrested for assaulting an officer after being stopped on Sunday evening.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the van being driven erratically between 8.30pm and 9pm, had to swerve to avoid the van or might have captured it on private CCTV.”
