OAP hurt in house Thorpe Hesley fire
AN ELDERLY man has been hospitalised after a fire broke out in his Thorpe Hesley home.
Fire crews attended the blaze on Thorpe Street at around 10.30am today (Thursday).
They fought the fire with hose reels, leaving the scene at around 12pm.

Hide AdBuses were delayed as fire engines blocked the road, according to a tweet from bus operator First South Yorkshire.
A fire service spokeswoman said this afternoon that the fire is thought to have been accidental, possibly caused by an electrical fault.
