Moorgate sex attack court latest

A MAN accused of four rapes in connection with two sex attacks in Moorgate has been remanded in custody.

Nicholas Totty (25) appeared before Magistrates in Rotherham this morning charged with eight offences following the two incidents on Friday night.

Totty, of Newman Road, off Moorgate, will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on October 16.

He also faces one count of section 18 wounding with intent, one count of section 20 wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, one count of section 39 common assault and one count of committing grievous bodily harm.

The first incident happened at around 11.30pm on Friday when a 27-year-old woman was attacked and sexually assaulted in Moorgate Road.

Police were made aware of the second incident around 1am on Saturday

Two women had been seriously assaulted at an address in Rotherham. One of the them, the younger of the two, had also been subjected to a serious sexual assault.
