Man injured in Mexborough street robbery

POLICE investigating a street robbery in Mexborough have released CCTV images of three men they wish to trace.

A man in his 30s was assaulted while walking down Barbers Path towards Willow Drive at about 12.30pm on Thursday (30).

A police spokeswoman said: “The men are reported to have stolen a gold chain and around £55 in cash.

“The victim suffered an injury to his face during the attack.

“Enquiries are under way but officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.

“They have also released CCTV images of several men they think could hold information about the incident.”
