Man charged with murder of 38-year-old Paul Sandford

A MAN has been charged with the murder of  Maltby man Paul Sandford.

Adam Goodridge (30), of Huntington Way, Maltby, was charged on Saturday with the murder of 38-year-old Mr Sandford, who was also known as Paul Dyson. 

He appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday where he was remanded into custody. 

Mr Sandford was allegedly assaulted in his home in Littlehey Close, Maltby, at about 1am on October 30. 

He was receiving treatment in hospital but collapsed and died at about 4.45am on November 4.

A 59-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail. 

A 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, also arrested as part of the investigation, remain on police bail.

Goodridge wil appear at Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow.
