Man charged with Conisbrough Castle kestrel theft.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with taking nesting kestrels from Conisbrough Castle.

Jason Frost, of Cedar Avenue, Mexborough, appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (27) for his first hearing.

He denied charges of taking a wild bird and criminal damage which date back to June 13.

A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service said: “The defendant will stand trial on November 18 accused of stealing the nesting kestrels from an upper window ledge at the castle.”
