Man charged over burns attack remanded in custody

A MAN charged with wounding following an incident that left a 51-year-old woman with extensive burn injuries has been remanded in custody following a court appearance.

Anthony Tindle (46) of Primrose Avenue, Darfield, will reappear at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday, December 11 for a plea and case management hearing.

He was charged after police were called to a property on Primrose Avenue on Monday, September 23 and discovered the female burns victim.

The 51-year-old was taken to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield in a serious condition.
