Man charged after Rotherham children’s centre break-in

A MAN has appeared in court charged with theft following a break in at a Rotherham children’s centre.

Ricky Sellers (33), of Reader Crescent, Swinton, faced one charge of burglary and two charges of theft in a hearing at Doncaster Magistrates Court this (17) morning.

A police spokeswoman explained: “The burglary charge relates to an alleged burglary at Rawmarsh Children's Centre on September 20 where it is believed computers were stolen.

“The second charge of an alleged theft of a vehicle relates to a Vauxhall Corsa which was taken from an address in Swinton on the same date.

“He was also charged with two thefts of diesel from Whitelea Grove industrial estate, Mexborough, on October 7 and October 8.”

Sellers was remanded in custody and will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on October 31.
