Man bailed over Maltby murder case
DETECTIVES were today continuing their investigations into the death of a woman found dead at a house in Maltby.
Neighbours have named the 58-year-old woman found at Gladstone Road on Monday as Val Walker, who lived with her husband Alan.
A postmortem examination of of the woman — who had not been formally named this morning and was previously described by police as 55 years old — had proved “inconclusive”, a spokesman said.
Further tests will be undertaken to determine the cause of death.
A 60-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was released on police bail this morning.
