Man arrested on suspicion of child rape
National Crime Agency (NCA) officers this afternoon arrested a man in Rotherham in connection with Operation Stovewood, which is examining non-familial child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) in the town between 1997 and 2013.
The man was arrested on suspicion of rape against a girl under the age of 16. He has been taken to a police station in South Yorkshire where he will be interviewed by the NCA.

Hide AdFour people have so far been arrested under Operation Stovewood, which has 33 designated suspects.
It has prioritised making contact with 97 victims and survivors so far.
There are currently eight distinct major investigations within the overall investigation.
