Man arrested in £6,000 drugs raid

A 30-year-old Rotherham man was arrested after a tip-off about a £6,000 cannabis cache at a house in Masbrough.

Police also discovered 24 cannabis plants at a second address and they seized “a large quantity of cash”, according to a police spokesman.

The man arrested was released on bail pending further enquiries.

PC Dave Law of Rotherham North SNT said: “If we receive information about drugs, the public can be assured that the police will act on this.

“In this instance the information was acted on within 24 hours, resulting in an arrest and seizure of considerable value.”
