Knifepoint terror for burglary victim

RAIDERS threatened a man with a knife in a burglary at his home in Maltby.

The 27-year-old was alone at home in Strauss Crescent around 12.10am on Sunday November 18 when two men entered his garage brandishing a knife.

Police say the man was led into his house and taken upstairs where he was allegedly bound. The two men then searched his house, stealing his wallet and a blue Subaru Impreza. The man was not injured.

The suspects are described as being white men in their mid-20s to early 30s, of average build. One man is believed to have been wearing a dark shell suit top with the hood up, with a scarf covering his face. The other man is said to have been wearing a grey tracksuit.

Officers are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the Subaru or witnessed the incident. Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 45 of 18 November 2012. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
