Intruders rape Maltby woman at knifepoint

POLICE are seeking two men after a Maltby woman was raped at knifepoint by masked intruders.

Officers were told that two men entered a home in the Grange Lane area at around 6.40pm on Wednesday, October 28.

They threatened the woman with a knife, before carrying out a serious sexual assault.

The sex attacker is described as around 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing a light jumper, blue jeans, black belt and white trainers.

The other man was wearing a black hooded sweater and blue jeans.

Det Insp Simon Palmer is leading the investigation. “We understand that this is an incredibly distressing incident and specialist officers are supporting the victim and her family.

“I can reassure members of the public that a thorough investigation is underway including detailed forensic work, house to house enquiries and we are reviewing CCTV footage of the area.”

He urged for anyone in the area on Wednesday evening who saw or heard anything that may help the investigation, to call 101 quoting incident 894 of October 28.
