"When the New York Stadium opened, we wanted to showcase it to the biggest audience we could and after a number of sell-outs we are set to capture a new audience. We look forward to putting our home on show for the world to see in what I believe will be a very good game.

"Women's football has an ever-increasing following and Hope Powell's team have some magnificent individuals whose ability was showcased at the Olympic Games as part of Team GB."

London 2012 bronze medallists Canada will be tough opponents. They have been regular opponents over the years at the annual Cyprus Cup and have beaten Powell's charges on the last two occasions as well as defeating Team GB in the Olympic quarter finals.

Ticket information will be announced soon.
