Gang of yobs "threw missiles" at bus and taxi

A gang of up to 20 teenagers were involved in the incidents on High Street, Rawmarsh, at around 8.30pm on Tuesday.

Insp Jenny Lax, of Rotherham North local police team (LPT) said the force received three reports of anti-social behaviour around the same time as the vehicles were damaged.

She said: “We have very little description of those we believe were invovled in the incidents but we know there was a group of around 10 to 20 teenagers in the area at the time.

“We won’t tolerate this sort of behaviour and want to take positive action against those responsible.”

Insp Lax said the LPT would be increasing patrols in the Rawmarsh area for the next few days.
