The five defendants were remanded in custody and refused bail during an appeal hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on July 18.

They are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court again on Friday (25).

The Lalas, Simon Burrows and David Webb all face charges relating to the possession of a Glock handgun with a barrel measuring less than 30cm in length.

Robert Webb, meanwhile, stands accused of possessing a semi-automatic assault rifle which has been modified to fire multiple rounds in quick succession.
