A FORMER community centre went up in flames in a fire which firefighters say was started “deliberately.”

Crews from Rotherham and Elm Lane fire stations were called to the blaze at the International Centre, off Simmonite Road, Kimberworth Park, at around 11.15am on Saturday.

Firefighters spent more than two hours fighting the fire which is believed to have started on the ground floor before spreading upstairs.
