Fire involving up to 20 cars at scrapyard

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a pile of up to 20 cars ablaze at a scrapyard.

Five fire engines attended Glasshouse Lane in Kilnhurst at about 6pm on Monday.

The cause of the blaze was still being investigated on Tuesday morning.

Fire crews also attended two deliberate rubbish fires on Monday evening.

The first was at a skatepark on Warren Vale, Rawmarsh, at 8.10pm, and the second was on Far Lane, East Dene, about half an hour later.
