Fire crews tackle fire and house blazes

The Peugeot 306 was found ablaze on Willow Drive at 11pm.

A crew from Dearne fire station attended and the incident and it was under control within 15 minutes.

But as the crew left that scene two engines from Rotherham were dispatched to deal with the door frame of an outhouse on fire in East Herringthorpe.

Fire officers said this incident was accidental and some discarded smoking material had triggered the blaze on Revell Close and crews left after 30 minutes.
