Fire crews tackle blaze at Mexborough pub

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a pub in Mexborough.

Three crews were called to the Bull’s Head pub, High Street, at around 12.20pm this afternoon (Monday).

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said there was an electrical fire in the pub’s basement.

A woman in her 40s was treated for smoke inhalation by fire crews but an ambulance was not required.

Crews from Rotherham, Edlington and Doncaster attended the scene.
