Fire crews battling farm blaze

FIRE crews from three stations are still tackling a fire at a farm which swept through a motorhome, boat and trailer this afternoon.

The fire at Spa House Farm in Treeton was reported at 12.40pm and pumps were dispatched from Rotherham, Maltby and Aston Park stations.

A fire service spokesman said one man had suffered burns in trying to tackle the fire, which is believed to have started in the boat.

The spokesman said firefighters were still at the scene at 2.50pm as there are gas cylinders which need to be cooled to protect them from the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined but will be investigated later.
