Fire crews battle car blaze
FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a car blaze in a field at Thornhill in the early hours of Saturday.
The Volvo Coupe had been deliberately set alight off Henley Rise at about 3.20am.
Crews also attended a rubbish fire at a garage on Lordens Hill, Dinnington, shortly before 11pm on Sunday. A fire service spokeswoman confirmed the incident was deliberate.
And firefighters attended a house on Morthen Road, Wickersley, when bedding in an airing cupboard caught fire on Friday night.
