Ex-Rotherham man's body found in Lake District

The body of Andrew Forrest (45), who lived in Accrington but grew up in Rotherham, was found near Waterhead, Ambleside, on Friday.

A member of the public discovered the body near a pier at around 6am and alerted police.

Emergency services attended but paramedics pronounced the 45-year-old dead at the scene.

Police said that Mr Forrest had not been reported missing and the death was not being treated as suspicious.

An inquest was expected to be opened and adjourned this week.
