Drive-by racists threatened woman with gun

A FEMALE driver was racially abused, threatened with a gun and had her car's rear window smashed.

Two men pulled up alongside the woman's BMW on a motorbike on Warren Vale, Swinton at around 2pm on Friday.

They racially abused her, brandished a gun and smashed the window before riding off from the scene.

The woman was not injured but has been left shaken, a police spokeswoman said.

The incident is being treated as a hate crime.

Officers are making CCTV enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
