Do you recognise men involved wanted in connection with burglary investigation?

POLICE investigating an attempted burglary have issued pictures of three men they hope can help them with their enquiries.

The attempted burglary occurred at around 5.20pm on August 22 at Wickersley Road, Herringthorpe.

A police spokesman said: “It is reported that a 28-year-old woman was left alone in her family home in Wickersley Road after her family had left the house to go out for the afternoon.

“A short time after her family left the property, it is reported that the woman heard a loud bang.

“Upon going downstairs, she saw the door was open and screamed.

“It is believed that the woman may have disturbed the suspects, as they left the property empty-handed.”

Investigators believe that the men in the CCTV images could hold useful information.

Anyone who recognises the men, or who may have information about the incident, is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 748 of August 22 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
