A DISCARDED barbecue accidentally triggered a blaze in the open yesterday evening.

A DISCARDED barbecue accidentally triggered a fire.

Firefighters were called to Barbers Avenue, Parkgate at around 8.30pm on Monday.

They spent around 15 minutes at the scene.
