Couple rob pensioner after asking for directions

A PENSIONER was robbed by a couple who asked her for directions.

The 66-year-old woman was approached by a man and a woman outside her home in Wood Close, Ravenfield, at around 3pm on Tuesday, May 3.

A woman asked her for directions to the motorway and the victim invited her inside.

The woman then produced a map and placed it on the table over the pensioner’s handbag.

At the same time, a man entered the house and stole her bank card before the couple both left.

Police said they may have been watching the victim while she was shopping in Bramley earlier in the day.

The woman was described as being around 5 ft 2 ins tall, aged in her mid-30s with olive skin and shoulder length black hair. She was waring dark clothing.

The man was described as being around 5 ft 8 ins tall and clean shaven. He was wearing a light-coloured checked shirt.
