CCTV released in connection with takeaway assault

POLICE want to trace this man in connection with an investigation into an assault outside a takeaway.

Officers said the man pictured could hold important information about the early hours incident in Wombwell.

A 23-year-old man was reportedly assaulted by a stranger outside a takeaway on Station Road. He suffered facial injuries.

Police believe there was a brief argument inside the premises before the attack, between 1am and 2am on November 5.

A spokesman said: “Officers also want to hear from you if you recognise the man pictured as they believe he could help with enquiries.”
