Arsonists strike twice overnight with bin blazes

FIREFIGHTERS tackled two deliberate wheelie bin blazes overnight in Balby and Dinnington.

Crews from Edlington were called to High Road, Balby, at 9.40pm to deal with a “well alight” wheelie bin and left at 9.52pm.

Firefighters from Maltby were then called to Leicester Road, Dinnington, at 12.49am. 

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “This was dealt with by 1.18am and is thought to have been started deliberately.”
