Arson attack on car

FIREFIGHTERS had to save a car from going up in flames after an arson attack involving a wheelie bin.

The blaze was started outside a house in Well Drive, Thrybergh, at 11.30pm on Sunday.

A fire service spokesman said: “A wheelie bin had been pushed up against a car and set alight, causing some damage to the outside of the vehicle.

“A crew from Rotherham fire station attended and used a hose reel to put out the fire.”
