Arrests made after police ram raid

ARMED officers were part of a team of police which carried out a dramatic raid last night.

Witnesses claimed that a heavily armoured police Land Rover was used by officers to force open gates which secure the perimeter of properties on Moorgate Road, Rotherham, during the operation at around 8.30pm last night (Thursday 10).

Moments after the operation was carried out CI Rich Butterworth took to Twitter to celebrate its success.

He said: “Police have executed a warrant in Moorgate, supported by armed officers, several people arrested and police at scene”
