Appeal for help to tracing stolen Rotherham gold

POLICE have issued photos of gold stolen from a Herringthorpe home, with an appeal for help tracing some precious items.

Burglars broke into the Broom Road property between 11.20am and 1.15pm on Wednesday, November 25.

They made off with three Australian 1oz gold coins, several pieces of jewellery and cash.

PC Lee Beecroft said: “The items taken have great sentimental value and this incident has really distressed the victims.

They are desperate to get their belongings back and I’d like to hear from anyone who may have seen items like those pictured, or been offered these items for sale recently.

“If you witnessed any suspicious activity in the Broom Lane area that morning, we’d also be keen so speak to you.”
