“I’d also like to thank the fantastic makeup artist Katie Daley and the photographer, Alan Miller of Millersfoto.

“It’s great news for us and it’s great news for Rotherham as we will be representing the town on the big stage.”

Millionhair was short-listed after beating off competition from 900 UK salons.

To win a place in one of seven regional finals, they had to enter a photograph of a model that demonstrated their fashion awareness.

They will now have to beat 60 other salons from across the region to move on to the final at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel where they will have just 45 minutes to create a catwalk-inspired look that shows off both skill and knowledge of trends.

The prize, entitled ‘A Year of Dreams,’ includes educational courses, national media exposure and glamorous fashion shoots.

L’Oréál Colour Trophy judge Trevor Sorbie MBE said: “The regional finals are bursting with creative hairdressing talent, to make it through to this stage is an incredible achievement and really highlights the talent that is across the UK.”
